Q. Is hypnosis safe?
A. Yes, you are in a state of mind similar to hypnosis twice every day . . . upon awakening in the morning and just before you drift off into a deep sleep at night. While in hypnosis, your brain waves are in the alpha mode, the level of mind associated with meditation, prayer, deep relaxation and inspired creativity.
Q. Can I really be hypnotized?
A. Anyone who wishes to enter the state known as hypnosis can do so quite easily. All it takes is a willingness to relax and feel good!
Q. Will I be out of control and quack like a duck?
A. Only if you want to. In hypnosis, you are still aware of everything that is going on around you. You are free to accept or reject any suggestions that are given to you; you will not do or say anything in hypnosis that you would not do when wide awake. You are only more receptive to the suggestions and images that you want to program into your subconscious.

Q. How does hypnosis work?
A. In hypnosis, we speak directly to your subconscious mind - your control center. This part of your mind is conditioned by old habit patterns and the avoidance of pain and the pursuit of pleasure. Often when change is desired, it is only the conscious mind making the decision. The subconscious mind may want to continue to hold on to the old behaviors. Anyone who has ever been on a diet or tried to quit smoking knows this conflict all too well! The suggestions received in hypnosis convince your subconscious of all the benefits and pleasures your new behavior will bring. Soon, your conscious and subconscious mind are united . . . and you are unstoppable.
Q. What happens during my hypnosis appointment?
A. First, we sit down and discuss your goals and how hypnosis can help. This discussion forms the basis of your individual hypnosis session. Hypnosis, how it works, why it works and what you will experience is explained to you in detail. All your questions are answered so that you feel totally comfortable with the process. The session itself is about 40 minutes long. You will feel relaxed and at ease, allowing your subconscious mind to absorb and act upon many positive suggestions and images. Afterwards, you will feel better than you have felt in a very long time.
Q. What is the cost of hypnosis: A. Sessions begin at just $125 for 1 1/2 hour session; packages of three session begin at $325.
Q. Is there any guarantee? Will I get my money back if it doesn't make me quit smoking or lose weight? A. It is important to know that hypnosis cannot "make" you do anything. It is a very powerful tool that often makes it much easier for you to make the positive changes you desire. Since I cannot predict or control human behavior (and I don't have magical powers!), I cannot guarantee the results and there are no refunds. However, I can guarantee that I will give you my undivided time and attention and help you in any way I can during our time together.
Q. How many sessions will I need? A. Of course, this depends on the issue and the person. Many times you will see positive benefits and improvements after just one session. And using the complimentary CD allows you do do much of the reinforcement yourself at home. For weight loss, a minimum of a three session package is recommended.
Q. Do you accept credit cards? A. Yes, VISA and MasterCard.
Q. Does insurance cover hypnosis? A. If you have a Flexible Spending Plan in connection with your insurance, it will cover your hypnosis sessions. Otherwise, check with your provider to determine if it will cover your sessions.
